 OSRT President’s Newsletter

July 2016

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Thank you to all who attended our 70th annual seminar in Owasso! The seminar was a huge success and I just wanted to thank everyone for their participation. I want to give a very special thank you to all of our wonderful speakers who took time from their busy schedules to come and share with us- thank you so very much. I also want to thank the staff at Tulsa Technology Center’s Owasso Campus for your hard work in setting up the venue, preparing the delicious catering that everyone loved, and for maintaining a clean and pleasant facility for us to use! Thank you to everyone on the board for helping reach out to speakers, set up hotel rooms and ensure registration went smoothly. Without all of you, this event would not have been possible. So again, thank you.

This is my third and final newsletter as your 2015-2016 OSRT president. This year has been so much fun for me. I enjoyed learning about the political side of our profession, and I am looking forward to serving the OSRT board as 2016-2017 Committee Chair. I am excited about the new challenges we will take on this year!

I am excited to welcome our new student interns: Benjamin Mowbray, Phenix Baldwin,Chris McKee, Aaron Psikal, and Sarah Pickens. New board members will be announced soon.

Our mid-year seminar will be held on Saturday, November 5th, 2016 at the OUHSC campus in OKC and OU Schusterman Center in Tulsa. We are already lining up some great speakers for this event and best of all it is free for OSRT members to attend and earn 4 CE credits! Mark your calendars now! If anyone has any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas to make our association better, please feel free to contact me at emilymalsom@yahoo.com or any of our board members. Take care.

Sincerely, Your President,

Emily Pinkston   MS,BSRT, R.T. (R) (MR)
